There is a certain magic about the Japanese sword katana. For a long time, carrying and using this world-famous weapon was the prerogative of the samurai. Even today, this weapon is an expression of samurai culture and philosophy. Today's martial arts are not about fighting, but about strengthening one's own inner attitude, opening the heart and BEING in mental and physical harmony.
The Tancho Iaito (crane) with a
blade length of approx. 73,5 cm (2.40 Shaku) was made exclusively for the Bokken Shop.
The beautifully crafted tsuba shows a crane motif. All ornamental rings (tsuba, fuchi, menuki, kashira) are made of metal and are entirely in the style of the tancho (crane). The blade ferrule (habaki) is made of brass. The saya (sword sheath) is made of wood with a glossy black lacquer finish. The Tancho Iaito is delivered to you in a fabric sheath.
- Blunt-ground blade in Shinogi-Zukuri style with fuller (Bo-Hi), hand-forged from 1045 carbon steel.
- The blade has an integrated hamon line (wavy line) for a particularly authentic look.
- Black cotton handle wrapping in classic Hineri-Maki style.
- Black, high-gloss lacquered wooden sheath (Kuroro style). With long tang, which is fixed in the handle with 2 bamboo pins (mekugi). The sword can therefore be fully dismantled.
- No plastic is used, only high-quality, authentic materials are used.

- The traditional handle winding is lined with genuine ray skin.
