Nagamaki made of wood

The Nagamaki is an ancient Japanese long weapon in the form of a single-edged sword with a particularly long handle. It could also be called a pole weapon with a sword blade. The blade is shaped like a katana, but the handle is slightly longer than the blade. From the 12th to the 14th century, mainly foot soldiers in the front line of battle were equipped with this weapon, whose task was to make breaches in the enemy lines. Its use against mounted opponents is also considered likely.

We have several variants of Nagamaki in our assortment, from inexpensive entry-level models to particularly noble long weapons made of ebony and peacock wood. But an excellent quality is important to us for all Nagamaki.
