Daisho Set - Katana and Wakizashi

In my store you will find some Daisho sets that I have put together for you. A Daisho sword pair consists of a katana and a wakizashi. In the time between 1338 and 1570 more and more the tradition arose to wear both the long sword and the short sword, with the blade upwards, together in the belt. From 1570 to about 1600 the idea of making katana and wakizashi the same first arose. It was not until the Endo period between 1600 to 1870 that the Daisho became the symbol for the Samurai.
