Kubotan
We offer handmade wooden Kubotan for martial arts in our Shop. You can also order custom made Kubotans.
The Kubotan was developed as a weapon for close combat in various martial arts. The use of the Kubotan is e.g. in the martial arts Kodudo, Ju-Jutsu, Jiu-Jutsu, Escrima / Arnis. Former police officer and martial arts teacher Takayuki Kubota developed the Kubotan in 1970. He trained police officers to use the Kubotan. The keyring was used by the police in the Los Angeles Police Department for self-defense. In 1978 he registered the name as a trademark.
In addition to the most frequently used expression “Kubotan”, there are also a few other terms: Dulo Dulo (Filipino), Palmstick, Powerstick, Nervenstock, Yawara, Persuader, and many more. We offer you different Kubotan, Dulo Dulo, Yawara made of ebony.
