In our Bokken-Shop you will find a special Tozando-Bokken made of camellia wood (Tsubaki). Only selected, high-quality camellia wood from Japan is used to manufacture this deluxe bokken. The bokken is very well suited for contact exercises / contact work due to its hardness and resilience. The hardness of camellia wood is comparable to that of Isu and Sunuke, which makes it very special for making bokken.
Camellia is also called "Tsubaki" in Japanese. It blooms almost all year round and has a very fine grain, as well as a smooth feel. Camellia wood is very hard and at the same time resistant.
