Iaido - the
art of sword drawing is a Japanese sword fighting art that was developed by the
samurai over 450 years ago. The ultimate goal is to
live in peace with yourself and with all things in the world. Today's Iaido is not about fighting, but about strengthening
one's own inner attitude,
opening the heart and BEING in mental and physical harmony.
The name of the
John Lee Katana Kei-Ben denotes the simple and practical design of the sword. The black tsuba has a subtle breakthrough in the form of two flowers, the fuchi and kashira are also kept in simple black.
- Blade in the Shinogi-Zukuri style with fuller (Bo-Hi), hand-forged, blunt, made of 420 stainless steel.
- Handle wrapped in beige cotton in the classic Hineri-Maki style.
- Black, high-gloss lacquered scabbard (Kuroro style) made of wood.
- With a long tang, which is fixed in the handle with 2 bamboo pins (Mekugi). The sword can thus be fully dismantled.
- No plastic is used, only high-quality, authentic materials are used.
- Blade clamp (Habaki) and washers (Seppa) are made of brass.
