The
John Lee Imori Tanto is characterised by the figure of the mountain newt on the tsuba. Imori is the name for the Japanese (mountain) newt.
- Shinogi-Zukuri style blade without fullers (Bo-Hi), hand-forged from 1045 carbon steel.
- The blade is made blunt by my dealer with an integrated hamon line for a particularly authentic look.
- Dark blue cotton handle wrapping in the classic Hineri-Maki style.
- Black, high-gloss lacquered wooden sheath (Kuroro style).
- The tanto can be fully dismantled.
- No plastic is used, only high-quality, authentic materials are used.
- The blade ferrule (habaki) and washers (seppa) are made of brass.
- The traditional handle winding is lined with genuine ray skin.
- All decorative rings (tsuba, fuchi, menuki, kashira) are made of metal.
- Supplied with a protective cloth cover and in an attractive collector's box.
- Each original John Lee sword comes with a seal and a certificate.
