The John Lee Hannya Katana is a beautifully crafted katana. The Hannya mask comes from the Japanese Nôh theater and is probably its best-known character. She symbolizes the woman who has turned into a demon out of anger and jealousy.
- Blunted blade made of 1095 carbon steel in Shinogi-Zukuri style without fuller (Bo-Hi).
- Differentiated hardening with clay coating to 60° Rockwell on the cutting edge, 40° on the back of the blade.
- Black cotton handle wrap in classic Hineri Maki style.<
- Black, matt lacquered scabbard with glossy black lacquer speckles (Kuroishime style).
- With a long tang, which is fixed in the handle with 2 bamboo pins (Mekugi). The sword can thus be fully dismantled.
- No plastic is used, only high-quality, authentic materials are used.
- Blade ferrule (habaki) and washers (seppa) are made of brass.
- The traditional grip winding is lined with real ray skin.
- All ornaments (Tsuba, Fuchi, Menuki, Kashira) are made of metal.
