Tancho Iaito
A certain magic emanates from the Japanese sword katana. For a long time, carrying and using this world-famous weapon was the prerogative of the samurai. Even today, this weapon is an expression of samurai culture and philosophy. Today's martial arts are not about fighting, but about strengthening one's own inner attitude, opening the heart and BEING in mental and physical harmony.
For a long time I was looking for steel iatios with different blade lengths. As I couldn't find what I was looking for, I had my own tancho (crane) blade made.
The beautifully crafted tsuba shows a crane motif. All the ornamental rings (tsuba, fuchi, menuki, kashira) are made of metal and are entirely in the style of the tancho (crane). The blade ferrule (habaki) is made of brass. The saya (sword sheath) is made of wood with a glossy black lacquer finish. The Tancho Iaito is delivered to you in a fabric sheath.
