The
Zaza Daisho sword pair by John Lee is made entirely in the spirit of bamboo. Due to its straight growth and fresh, green colour, it stands for growth and purity. In Japanese culture, it is also a symbol of good luck. The symbolism of bamboo is not only found in the decorative rings (tsuba, fuchi, menuki, kashira), but also on the sheath: golden bamboo leaves are worked into the lacquer of the saya.
The Daisho set consists of the John Lee Zaza Iaito Katana and the John Lee Zaza Iaito Wakizashi.
