Modern Ju Jutsu focuses on self-defense and violence prevention. Originating from the weaponless martial arts of the Samurai, a western variant of Jiu Jitsu developed at the beginning of the 20th century, from which the German branch of Ju Jutsu emerged in the 1970s. Elements from Aikidō, Judo and Karate play an important role.
