The Kyoketsu Shoge (meaning: running around in the fields and mountains), in its metal version, is a blade with two cutting edges and another curved blade.
The shoge has a variety of uses. Thus, the blade could be used for pulling strokes as well as for stabbing. The chain/string could be used for climbing or even tying up the opponent. Skilled ninjas could use the shoge to wrap around an attacker's sword and rip it from their hands. The ring was used for strikes and also for distraction attacks.
