Der Weg des Herzens - The way of the heart
Bujinkan Budō Taijutsu
Volume 2 - Vol. 2: Shin-ō no Kihon Waza
This second book by Kostas Kanakis covers the advanced basic techniques of Bujinkan Budō Taijutsu (Ninjutsu). In addition to the correct teaching of these advanced techniques, special emphasis is placed on the very important internal aspects of this art, which serve the deeper understanding of Budō Taijutsu.
It is especially suitable for ninjutsu practitioners, as it goes into great detail and elaboration on the more advanced techniques of Budō Taijutsu. However, this book should also serve as an incentive for those who wish to learn the wonderful art of Bujinkan Budō Taijutsu for the first time. Bujinkan Budō Taijutsu is based on the system of the last nine traditionally transmitted ninjutsu Ryū-ha (schools). Dr. Masaaki Hatsumi is the last ninjutsu grandmaster to hold the title of Sōke (head) in all nine ninjutsu Ryū. He merged all nine ninjutsu Ryū-ha into a single system known today as Bujinkan.
The author of this book, Kostas Kanakis, trained ninjutsu under various masters of this martial art, such as Doron Navon and Moshe Kastiel from Israel, and Bo F. Munthe from Sweden. But his most important teachers were Sulvain Guintard from France and Sveneric Bogsäter from Sweden, who is still his teacher today. He is a regular guest at Tai Kai events and trains constantly under the direct guidance of Grandmaster Dr. Masaaki Hatsumi in Japan.
From the beginning, the author was significantly involved in the development of Ninjutsu in the new German states and is considered one of the pioneers of Ninjutsu in Germany. Meanwhile, under his leadership, some groups train the martial art of Ninjutsu in different cities in Germany.
