John Lee Aikuchi Tanto. A particularly noble piece. The Aikuchi Tanto traditionally has no guard plate (tsuba). Particularly large and powerful versions like this one, called yoroidoshi (literally: "through the armor"), were once used to pierce armor in close combat.
