For your martial arts and full contact we offer you a jo staff made of dungon wood. Our jo staff made of dungon is popular in martial arts such as Aikido, Jodo, Jo-Jutsu and Bujinkan. The jo is supple in the hand and can be wielded very well despite its weight.
PLEASE NOTE: The Jo sticks are a special offer. They may be slightly warped or have fine cracks in the outer grain of the wood. Minor knots may also be present.
The ironwood dungon is one of the 10 hardest woods in the world. It is used in shipbuilding, e.g. for keels, ribs, rudders, keel heads, as well as for heavy constructions such as foundation beams, piles or for bridge and quay construction. The wood is very hard, heavy, tough and flexible.
