The unique
Daisho sword pair Ten Kei by John Lee is truly a "gift from heaven" and a symbol of the beauty of nature and our planet. The sword set reflects the gifts of nature in the handcrafted fittings finished in gold & silver. We find the fine floral motifs, both on the tsuba and in the other decorative installments, throughout.
The Daisho set consists of the
John Lee Ten Kei Katana and the
John Lee Ten Kei Wakizashi.
Please note: The edges are blunt (made dull).
Features:
- Shinogi-Zukuri style blades with groove.
- Blunt blades in Kobuse construction.
- Handle winding of black silk in Katate-Maki style (war winding), underlaid with ray skin.
- Black high gloss lacquered scabbards (Kuroro style) with finials (Kojiri, Kurigata, Koiguchi) made of buffalo horn.
- Blade ferrules (Habaki) and washers (Seppa) are made of brass.
- With long tang, which is fixed in the handle with 2 bamboo pins (mekugi). The swords are therefore fully dismountable.
- All ornamental rates (Tsuba, Fuchi, Menuki, Kashira) are handmade of metal and give each sword its personal touch.
- Delivery is in an attractive wooden collector's box, including a high gloss lacquered stand lined with velvet.
- Each original John Lee sword comes with a seal and a certificate.
