The
Daisho sword pair IMORI by John Lee is characterised by its simplicity. The golden ornamental newts on the tsuba and the fittings are characteristic:
Imori means
(mountain) newt.
The Daisho set consists of the
John Lee Imori Katana and the
John Lee Imori Wakizashi.
Please note: The edges are blunt (made dull).
Features:
- Shinogi-Zukuri style blades with groove (Bo-Hi), hand forged from 1045 carbon steel.
- Blades are extra made blunt with incorporated hamon line for an extra authentic look.
- Dark blue cotton handle wraps in Katate-Maki style (war wrap).
- Black, matt lacquered wooden scabbards with shiny black lacquer sprinkles (Kuroishime style).
- With long tang, which is fixed with 2 bamboo pins (mekugi) in the handle. The swords are therefore fully dismountable.
- No plastic is used, only high quality authentic materials are used.
- Blade ferrules (habaki) and washers (seppa) are made of brass.
- The traditional handle winding is underlaid with genuine ray skin.
- All trim rates (Tsuba, Fuchi, Menuki, Kashira) are made of metal.
- Supplied with protective cloth sheath and in an attractive collector's box.
- Each original John Lee sword comes with a seal and a certificate.
