For the care of your katana we offer you this sword care set in a decorative wooden box. For the samurai, the care and cleaning of a samurai sword was a ceremony in which the soul was symbolically cleansed. A warrior takes care of his sword for a lifetime. The katana blade should be cleaned every 2-3 weeks, at least once a month, depending on the climate.
The scope of delivery includes a powder puff for applying the powder to the blade edge. You can use it to remove oil residue. Also included are clove oil for maintaining the blade, a thin cotton cloth for cleaning the blade and a brass hammer for loosening the handle/tsuka as well as two mekugi.
Our recommendation to you: Take time and space for sword care. Honour yourself and your katana. Get involved and consciously organise the ceremony for this cleaning process.
