Our Bokken made of robinia in the Itto-Ryu shape is a real alternative to Japanese white oak. The Bokken has an approach for a tsuba. You can order the matching tsuba made of buffalo leather in the section: Bokken accessories. Robinia or sham acacia is a hard, smooth, flexible and dimensionally stable wood. It is considered to be the most weather-resistant wood in Europe and therefore more durable than oak.
