For your martial arts and full contact we offer you a Bokken in the Standard-Form made of Dungon wood. In the standard form, the handle merges smoothly into the blade. The centre of gravity is 15 cm from the end of the handle. The wood feels rich and warm in the hand.
The Ironwood Dungon is one of the 10 hardest woods in the world. It is used in shipbuilding, e.g. for keels, ribs, rudders, keel heads, as well as for heavy constructions such as foundation beams, piles or for bridge and quay construction. The wood is very hard, heavy, tough and flexible. Unlike some Ironwoods, Dungon has the advantage of a long wood fibre, which makes it more vibrant and therefore absorbs more shocks. Ash wood behaves similarly.
The Bokken has been extensively tested by Jürgen Bieber and his students in the dojo. We have received positive feedback from these tests. Thank you very much for your support.
