Ebony is characterized by its hardness and is good for full contact and therefore very well suited for use: stick to stick. The Tanbo is used in the Japanese martial arts such as Tanbo-Jiu-Jitsu, Aikido, Karate, or in Ninjutsu, the fighting style of the ninjas.
