The Sageo in the color black is made from an artificial silk, also known under the name Rayon, and woven in the traditional Shigeuchi style. We source our Sageo directly from Japan. The Shigeuchi Sageo tape is suitable for the scabbard of an Iatio katana / samurai sword.
