John Lee Red Wood Iaito is available in two different lengths. In this way, this wonderful training sword can be made available to a wide range of buyers. The name is derived from the matt, red-brownish lacquered scabbard, in which the grain of the wood is still clearly visible.
- Blade in the Shinogi-Zukuri style with fuller (Bo-Hi), hand-forged, blunt, made of 420 stainless steel.
- Handle wrapped in black cotton in the classic Hineri-Maki style.
- Red-brown, matt lacquered scabbard (Cha Ishimi style), the wood grain is still visible.
- With a long tang, which is fixed in the handle with 2 bamboo pins (Mekugi). The sword can thus be fully dismantled.
- No plastic is used, only high-quality, authentic materials are used.
- Blade clamp (Habaki) and washers (Seppa) are made of brass.
- The traditional handle wrap is underlaid with real ray skin.
- All ornaments (tsuba, fuchi, menuki, kashira) are made of metal.
