Our Bokken made of Supa wood in the standard-form is well suited for practicing the form and for contact work. The grain ranges from cream to reddish brown. The center of gravity is about 15 cm from the end of the handle and is well balanced.
The wood is widely used in building interiors (beams, rafters, floors, joinery and furniture making, as well as in bridge building and boat building. Supa wood is highly valued for its durability and pleasant aroma.
The Supa tree provides a special oil that is highly valued in the treatment of skin diseases. The tree is also called "kerosene tree". 10 liters of kerosene/year could be produced from the oil of approx. 100 trees per hectare.
